Strategic Focus Areas

Youth Empowerment

1. Youth Empowerment and Employment

The Foundation invests in youth capacity building through the Youth Linkage Center, offering rehabilitation, technical training, and innovation incubation. Through partnerships with educational institutions, corporates, and development agencies, we promote job creation and self-employment for young people.

Skills Development

2. Skills and Enterprise Development

We provide technical and vocational training that bridges education and employability gaps. Programs include electrical and mechanical engineering, tailoring, art, leatherwork, masonry, bakery, and detergent production — empowering participants to become job creators rather than job seekers.

Innovation

3. Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubation

GPSD Foundation supports emerging entrepreneurs by offering incubation programs that provide mentorship, access to funding, workspace, and networking opportunities. Focus areas include agribusiness, ICT, renewable energy, creative industries, and manufacturing.

Rehabilitation

4. Rehabilitation and Reintegration

We run a Youth Rehabilitation Program that provides counseling, mentorship, and recovery support for individuals affected by drug and substance abuse. The initiative restores dignity, strengthens mental health, and facilitates reintegration into education and employment systems.

Informal Sector Development

5. Jua-Kali and Informal Sector Development

Recognizing the informal sector as a key driver of employment, GPSD Foundation equips artisans and small-scale traders with modern tools, management skills, and access to market linkages. This promotes innovation, productivity, and competitiveness among local entrepreneurs.

Agribusiness

6. Agribusiness and Food Security

Our Nutrition Garden Initiative integrates small-scale farming with nutrition education to promote food security, sustainable agriculture, and income generation. By empowering youth and women in agribusiness, the Foundation contributes to reducing hunger and malnutrition in local communities.

Sustainability Model

Our sustainability approach integrates training revenue, incubation support fees, social enterprise reinvestment, and blended donor financing. By combining social impact with financial innovation, the Foundation ensures that programs remain viable and scalable beyond donor cycles.
